Job Description : We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Consultant with strong expertise in Controlling (CO), Product Costing, Asset Accounting (AA), and Project Systems (PS) to support an end-to-end mining sector implementation. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional knowledge of mining operations, capital-intensive environments, and cost-driven processes. Key Responsibilities 1. SAP S/4HANA Implementation – Mining Focus • Conduct workshops with business teams for finance, operations, maintenance, and engineering. • Convert mining business requirements into detailed SAP functional designs across CO, PC, AA, and PS. • Configure and optimize SAP S/4HANA for: • Ore extraction and processing cost models • Mine expansion and development projects • Heavy mobile equipment and plant asset management • Cost center planning for mining operations • Inventory valuation and costing across mining value chain 2. Controlling (CO) & Product Costing • Implement cost center accounting, activity types, and mining-specific allocations. • Set up material cost estimates, BOM and routing costing, and process costing relevant to extraction and processing. • Support month-end closing and variance analysis for operational departments. 3. Asset Accounting (AA) • Configure asset structures supporting mines, processing plants, infrastructure, and mobile fleets. • Support asset capitalization, depreciation, and componentization per IFRS/GAAP. • Implement AUC (Assets Under Construction) processes tied to mine development projects. 4. Project Systems (PS) • Implement PS for mine development, sustaining capital, and engineering projects. • Configure WBS elements, budgeting, settlement rules, and integration with AA and CO. • Enable cost tracking, resource utilization, and project governance compliance. 5. Cross-Module & Technical Integration • Work closely with MM, PM, PP, and FI teams to align mining workflows end-to-end. • Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements, Fiori apps, and interface development. • Support data migration for assets, cost centers, projects, and cost structures. 6. Testing, Training & Deployment • Prepare functional specifications and training material for end-users. • Lead SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and hypercare support. ⸻ Qualifications • Minimum 6+ years of SAP functional experience. • Hands-on experience implementing S/4HANA with strong proficiency in CO, Product Costing, AA, and PS. • Experience in mining, natural resources, or asset-intensive industries (strongly preferred). • Proven success in full lifecycle SAP implementations. • Strong understanding of mining cost models, capital project controls, and asset-heavy operations. • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
